Keytech Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use école.mu, how we use it, and your rights under the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius.

1. Data we collect

Visitors browsing the platform

We may collect anonymised usage data (pages viewed, search terms entered, device type, approximate location by country) to improve the platform. This data does not identify you personally.

Providers who register a profile

When an education provider creates or claims a listing we collect: the name, role, and email address of the contact person; the institution's name, address, phone number, and website; any additional details the provider chooses to publish (description, fees, photos). Providers are responsible for ensuring they have the right to submit any personal data of third parties (for example, staff photos).

Users who submit an enquiry form

If you contact a provider through école.mu we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This information is forwarded to the relevant provider and retained by us for a limited period for support purposes.

2. How we use your data

We use the data we collect to:

• Operate and improve the école.mu platform.
• Display provider profiles to families searching for education options.
• Transmit enquiries between parents and providers.
• Send transactional emails related to your account or listing (for example, profile confirmation or enquiry receipts).
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Sub-processors

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each processes personal data on our behalf under appropriate data protection agreements.

4. Data retention

Provider profile data is retained for as long as the listing is active and for a reasonable period thereafter. Enquiry data is retained for up to 12 months. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 2017 you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations).
• Object to certain processing.
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.

6. Cookies

école.mu uses essential cookies required for the platform to function (for example, session management). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the platform may not work correctly if you do.

7. Children

école.mu is a directory aimed at parents and guardians making education decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under the age of 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
